Dan Falasca, Sr., President of SJMCA presented the 2009 Alliance Awards to Tony LaBarck and Todd Nilsen
The 2009 Alliance Awards were presented to Tony LaBarck and Todd Nilsen of Rowan University College of Engineering at the SJMCA 37th Annual Golf Outing in May.
Tony LaBarck has led clinic projects funded by both the Navy and NASA. Tony worked on a Navy project discovering ways to improve firefighting vehicle reliability, developing new concepts to mechanically test tires in the lab. On the NASA project his team developed an ice cloud chamber used to model ice concentration within clouds.
Todd Nilsen has led clinic projects, from fuel cell research to auxiliary power units for F-18 fighter jets. Todd has worked for FocalCool, LLC a medical device startup company developing technology to save heart tissue at the SouthJerseyTechnologyPark.
